Pantego is one square mile of Tarrant County that Arlington never absorbed. Named in 1884 by a settler who honored a trusted Native American friend, incorporated in 1952, and surrounded on three sides by Arlington ever since. The town’s own motto says it best: “Small Town Charm, Big City Opportunities.” AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field, and DFW Airport are practically next door. Pantego itself stays exactly as it is and that’s the point.
